Cafébre, poetically meaning orfebrería de café, is a local roastery and specialty coffee bar in the heart of the touristic center of Oaxaca. Cafébre carefully sources and expertly roasts these exceptional beans so that you can enjoy their maximum flavor potential. We tend for sweeter, lighter roasts that accentuate the natural fruitiness endowed unto the coffee bean, but also strive for balance with slightly darker chocolatey flavors.

Cafébre obtiene cuidadosamente y asa de manera experta estos granos de cafe excepcionales para que pueda disfrutar de su máximo potencial de sabor.     House Blend | Mezcla de la Casa
    Our house blend is the epitome of balance—chocolate notes with light acidity. The blend hails from a group of small producers in Santiago Nuyoó in the Mixteca Alta of Oaxaca, an area that is heralded for producing "Kenyan coffees" of Oaxaca, known to be dense and complex. Cupping notes: Dark chocolate, cacao nibs with a creamy finish and a slight grapefruit aftertaste. 225 grams.

    Specialty Roast | Café Especial
    Santa Catarina Loxicha is located in the famed Pluma region of Oaxaca and these coffees are certainly standouts. They were fermented, while recently depulped with kefir, and, instead of being washed afterwards, were set out to dry with their sticky pulp, making for some of the most complex honey processed cupping notes we’ve ever seen. The kefir turns red fruits notes into tropical notes and adds whisps of floral hints. However these are not light coffees, even though they are medium roasts. The honey fermentation process lends itself to fuller bodied spices and cacao nibs in the first sip, while your mouth will tingle with flowers and guava for a smooth finish. 225 grams.

     

    Santa Catarina Loxicha se encuentra en la famosa región de Pluma, Oaxaca, y estos cafés son ciertamente sobresalientes. Fueron fermentados, mientras que recientemente fueron bañados con kéfir y, en lugar de ser lavados después, se secaron con su pulpa pegajosa, lo que los convirtió en algunas de las notas de cata procesadas con miel más complejas que jamás hayamos visto. El kéfir convierte las notas de frutas rojas en notas tropicales y agrega toques florales. Sin embargo, estos no son cafés ligeros, aunque son tostados medianos.
